Thank you for revisiting to the bamboo post. About the metaphor of the flexibility of bamboo, “able to change easily” is NOT the meaning. (1) While having one’s own belief all life, being tolerant to other beliefs is one meaning. Such mindset leads to coexistence. Weak people attack others’ beliefs. (2) Bamboos "bend" in the strong wind and recover easily and quickly from damaging events, "never break", and is strong. It shows “resilience.”
These are what I think about the strength of bamboo with flexibility. This might be a cultural way of thinking. I’m glad you get the idea. I also came back here to follow you. Have a nice weekend.
